La terraza que aparece en la foto no es parte del departamento, es parte del hotel. We had some difficulties and the host was on top of resolving them as much as possible. I guess that is the test of a place, how responsive hosts are when the little things go wrong, as they often will. Pictures don’t do it justice. An amazing little gem with an awesome view, all the room amenities you need including beach towels.

We loved our minute walks down the hill into town, the relaxed atmosphere on the beach and the exceptionally friendly and helpful locals. Very quiet and early nights but that’s what made it a truly relaxing vacation. Jill has been a really good host, before getting there she was sending us very useful information about Chacala, this info make us feel as if we have been there before.

Javier is a very nice guy and was ready to receive us when we got there. Chacala is a very nice place to take a break from the city and Jills house is the perfect place be relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need to bake, cook and make some cocktails.

Thank you Jill for being an amazing host. Jill was a fabulous host in every way! She made me feel extremely welcome. Her home was beautifully designed and constructed. Her home was very clean and maintained impeccably and decorated in a very lovely way with beautiful local art and rugs! I enjoyed a wonderful view from both my bed and my private deck and even more gorgeous views from the open private rooftop patio.

Jill consistently informed me of all the local happenings including special art and music events as well as fabulous dining recommendations. She even offered rides to nearby cities when she was going which was a great help at times! She immediately attended to any small issues and consistently went out of her way to make my visit extraordinary. Jill is well connected in the community in Chacala and is therefore an amazing resource in so many ways. And the thing that I enjoyed the MOST was her warmth and true friendliness as well as her complete respect for privacy.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Jill as a host and her lovely home as wonderful place to enjoy a truly memorable vacation. We enjoyed Cascada de Flores. Jill’s daughter Lily was a great host full of information and even drove us to a music festival in San Pancho. The master suite is really comfortable. We appreciated the quality appliances, coffeemaker, grinder and blender and cook wear.

It was wonderful sitting on the balcony looking at the view and listening to the birds in the morning and going to sleep at night listening to the waves. Everything about this place was wonderful!

Lovely and independent home in Chacala! The place is greatly decorated and was an authentic home in the beach, not a hotel nor a villa but an actual home! Jill lives in California, but from there she attended all our questions really fast.

Gabriel and his sister are lovely. The place is a bit far from Central, but has a supermarket and a 24 hour convenience store near-by. Apart from some noisy local dogs, it is a quiet area. The house is clean and tidy, and is clearly a well loved home.

For an authentic experience, this is definitely a place to stay.

Nice little place with tons of charm. The pictures are accurate and Gabriel was very helpful with the question we had.

Although we only spent one night here, we had a remarkable time we will never forget! Who needs electricity when you have a fire and a bunch of candles.

The hammocks on the terrace are a great touch as we swung in it watching a thunder storm. There is also a one of a kind dog on site. We didn’t find out his real name but we nick named him ‘Manchas’.

This place was fantastic. Although it’s a bit off the beaten path, Joy did a good job of making sure she had people there to help out. Javier manages the house and speaks fluent English. He was very helpful on just about anything – best bank ATM’s to use, best places to eat, best things to do, whatever.

We asked for a cook to help out with a lot of midday meals, and Martha was one of the hardest working people I’ve seen in a while.

She’d cook and clean brenca hours non-stop.

At one point she rotated laundry I was doing while she was cooking lunch, and I didn’t even see her leave the kitchen! And the meals she made were delicious. Javier was about the only one who spoke Spanish, though. That said, there are at least a couple restaurants in town where the wait staff speak fairly good English.

This place is absolutely amazing! Listening to the waves crash from your bed was great. Loved just sitting on the patio overlooking the beach and the outdoor shower after swimming at the beach. Javier was a delight and full of great tips and recommendations. The beach was perfect! Sandy bottom and fun small waves.

Lovely small town with plenty of options for inexpensive delicious food. Open space with great view of the bay, definitely one of the best locations to lx in chacala. Chacalas beach was somewhat dissapointing, lots of thrash lying around and people don’t clean up after themselves leaving entire thrash bags behind.

Lots of flies and mosquitoes during this season, the house being so open doesn’t cas much refuge for those or the heat, the only space with AC is the bedroom.

There was lots of personal stuff in the house so it was a bit difficult to feel at home. It would probably be a better place to stay during fall or winter than in summer. Great reception from Javier the manager who constantly checked in on us to see if there was anything he could help us with. Casa Alegria is your dream home found on Airbnb.

Absolutely everything has been thought of for you to enjoy your stay. Privacy and proximity to the beach are incredible along with any tips or guidance Javier may provide. Casaa an amazing place, just a few steps from ,a beach, really clean, tidy and with everything you could need on your stay.

The people is so nice and it’s really close to the robdrt street where you can find everything. Such a lovely place! This home is even more lovely than the pictures show. The owner has taken great care in decorating and furnishing the home to make it feel warm and cozy. The outdoor patios have wonderful views of Chacala’s crescent bay and beach.

The house is in a great location, within close walking distance to the beach, fishing dock and restaurants. Joy is a wonderful host and was on hand to answer any of our questions.

She even showed our children her art studio, much to their delight! Javier the house manager is an amazing asset to the house. He arranged the shuttle to and from the airport, delivered groceries to the house before our arrival, lined up a cook to come into the house and cook us a delicious meal and roert a boat trip robfrt surfing. My husband, our three children ages 6, 8 and 10 had an amazing week and we cannot wait to return to Chacala and Joy’s house.

What a wonderful ajtnoma it was to stay at Casa Amiga. It is comfortable and well appointed. The animals are a delight to watch. James and Sonny are exceptional hosts. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Studio and bathroom are larger than they look in the photos and there are some shelves for clothing.
